We keep tradition, as I not plan to damage my knee this year, we will host our Fusion Middleware Partner Community Reception at Oracle Open World 2013 – space is limited so please register asap!

If you are planning to attend OOW, make sure you prepare your visit and below you’ll find some useful tips. Let us know if you like us to arrange 1:1 meeting with the product management or sales team, to discuss your large opportunities or projects. In combination with OOW 2013 we will also host our global SOA & BPM Partner Advisory Council IX, if you are a SOA guru and would like to attend, please feel free to let us know.

Partners are key in Fusion Middleware, therefore we make the latest sales kit available to you at the SOA Community Workspace (SOA Community membership required). A must read paper is A Case for Oracle Fusion Middleware by Lucas Jellema. In the Industrial SOA series the next article is available on Securing the SOA Landscape. There is also an article published in the Service Technology Magazine from our Link Consulting team Promoting Organizational Visibility for SOA and SOA Governance Initiatives – Part I by Manuel Rosa and André Sampaio. I would also like to thanks to Ronald for sharing the Supporting multiple ebMS service versions in Oracle B2B and Edwin for the JAX-WS SOAP over JMS article. Please feel free to let us know if you want to publish your articles in the SOA Community Newsletter!

The global product management team – Simone at twitter made several resource kits on hot new SOA topics available Cloud Integration & SOA Governance & Fast Data & API Management. On the BPM side of the community, we collected all material on How to start with Oracle BPM Suite and thanks to Ajay Khanna from the global marketing team for the comprehensive BPM marketing overview. Case management for unstructured processes continues to be one of the hottest topics. Our ACE Director Torsten Winterberg blogged about the first draft of the Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN) and Mark Foster from the A-Team publishes a ACM series: ACM  In-Depth: Cases & Case Activities Part 1 – Acivity Scope & ACM In-Depth: Stakeholders & Permissions. Thanks to Niall Commiskey for the ongoing tips around BPM and the latest post BPM Parallel Multi Instance sub processes.

Fusion Applications is built based on Fusion Middleware. If you want to take Advantage of Fusion Middleware to customize and extend Fusion Applications and Applications like Siebel, Peoplesoft and E-Business suite make sure you learn and participate in the Oracle AppAdvantage for partners! To understand the stack make us of the Oracle Enterprise Architecture blueprint.

ec4u implements Oracle SOA Suite and AIA Foundation Pack at Swiss insurance company

ec4u implements Oracle SOA Suite and AIA Foundation Pack at Swiss insurance companySympany, with its head office in Basel, grew out of the ÖKK Basel and other health insurers. In 2012, Sympany earned premiums of CHF 994 million and had a profit of CHF 16.3 million. Sympany’s roughly 550 employees serve over 227,000 private customers, of which about 189,000 have basic insurance policies. Its corporate clientele comprises approximately 12,200 companies.

A great success of the collaboration between Sympany and ec4u expert consulting (schweiz) ag could be documented on 2nd April 2013, the Go Live of the SYBACON program.

Since this Go Live the SOA Suite is the main integration platform, excluding batch processing. ec4u supported Sympany to implement services with Oracle SOA Suite and AIA Foundation Pack. Within BPM unstructured processes used to be a big challenge, due to the potential high number of process flows. Adaptive case management can address this to create ad-hoc processes without to model each variety.
