SOA Blackbelt training by David Shaffer, April 30th–May 4th 2012

A lot of you knew David Shaffer as the VP of Product Management for Oracle’s SOA and BPM technology. As you may already be aware, Dave left Oracle last summer to take some time off with his family and explore some ideas that he had under the umbrella of his new company, Middleworks. One of those is that there is a gap in deep training offerings around the SOA Suite and its internals. As such, Middleworks has worked with the SOA product team to offer an advanced workshop based on the "SOA Blackbelt training" previously delivered by the product management team. This will be jointly offered by Middleworks and Exilor and led by Roman Dobrik of Exilor, who was acquired into Oracle along with Dave from Collaxa. Service Bus 11g Development Cookbook

The Oracle Service Bus Development Cookbook is a book which contains more than 80 practical recipes to develop service- and message-oriented solutions on the Oracle Service Bus 11g.image

This cookbook is full of immediately usable recipes showing how to efficiently develop on the Oracle Service Bus. In addition to its cookbook style, which ensures the solutions are presented in a clear step-by-step manner, the explanations go into great detail, which makes it good learning material for everyone who has experience with the OSB and wants to improve. Most of the recipes are designed in such a way that each recipe is presented as a separate, standalone entity and reading of prior recipes is not required. The finished solution of each recipe is also made available electronically.

Almost a year ago the author team meet at our SOA & BPM Community Forum in Utrecht.  Guido Schmutz our OSB guru from Swiss formed a team that delivered the book in less than 12 months! Enterprise Architecture tools: New partnership with Troux

Oracle will offer BPM Process Composer Extensions which provide process decomposition / modeling, provide value chains, strategy maps, objectives, org. models etc.

BPM Suite 12 will be opened to integrate with other EA/BPA tools through import/export functionality. One of the first partners is Troux. For details please see our Enterprise Architecture presentation. (SOA Partner Community workspace access required)

Dear SOA partner community member

Happy New Year and thanks for all your superb contribution and business in 2011. We start the New Year with our Fusion Middleware Partner Community Forum. With more than 100 registrations our Fusion Middleware Partner Community Forum is very well booked. First hads-on bootcamps are almost booked out. If you want to attend make sure that you register asap!
Highlights include e.g. a roadmap update from Regis Louis, a SOA & BPM reference case from Geoffroy de Lamalle, BPM 11g, Whats New: Simone Geib & James Allerton-Austin, SOA Suite 11g PS5, From 10g to 11g – A customer case on Oracle SOA Suite migration: Danilo Schmiedel and Convincing your customer with technology arguments, Andreas Chatziantoniou. Simone Geib & James will be the trainers for the The SOA Suite hands-on bootcamp on February 9th & 10th! The Community Forum is your best opportunity to get updated and trained early in 2012!

To increate our collaboration we launched our SOA Partner Community Workspace. To goal is to share key documents like sales and marketing kits or roadmaps.

Additional to our BPA Enterprise Architecture solution we also launched a partnership with Troux.
