OCI Console Announcements are the messages which are sent to tenant administrator’s email to notify them about information related to service status that will impact their tenancy.Tenant administrators can view most recent announcements and the announcements from the past by clicking on the bell icon on the Home Page of OCI Console. Learn more about OCI Console announcements here.

Clicking on the bell icon on OCI console navigates the users to the OCI Announcements page which displays announcements related to all OCI Cloud services as shown in the picture below. Read the complete article here.

Overview

Oracle Integration has rich capabilities for connecting with diverse technical end points may it be service / API based like SOAP and REST or messaging based like Kafka and JMS or database management system like ADW, ATP etc. OIC supports wide array of technical adapters enabling customers to connect, integrate and reap advantages of core digital technologies in their business processes. Oracle Integration continues to improve the technical adapters capabilities further empowering customers in their digital transformation journey.

REST Adapter Improvements

Oracle Integration REST adapter is a versatile adapter helping customers to communicate with wide array of products & services like Oracle Functions, OCI Object storage, AWS S3 etc, proving to be a one of the cornerstone adapters for customers modern integration solutions. Announcing Oracle SOA Suite on Containers & Kubernetes for Production Workloads by Ravi Pinto

The Oracle SOA Suite Team is thrilled to announce the general availability of Oracle SOA Suite on Containers and Kubernetes for Production environments. This is a culmination of a tremendous effort backed by customer feedback in the early access phase.

Scope

As part of the first release version 20.3.3, we are making available the following:

  • Container images for Oracle SOA Suite 12.2.1.4 including Oracle Service Bus on MOS patch 31966923 (Production) and container-registry.oracle.com (Dev & Test)
  • Sample scripts on Github
  • Documentation related to the following
    • Installation and configuration of a new SOA Instance.
    • Monitoring and management of the instance, configuration of Load Balancers, SSL Certificates etc.
    • Patching and upgrading the instance.
    • Steps on configuring a development environment to work with the instance.

Initial release certifies the domain types of following components

Copy files from one SFTP to another in OIC by Ankur Jain

There are scenarios where we want to copy files from one SFTP location to another in Oracle Integration Cloud.

In this article, I will show you how to copy files from one SFTP to another irrespective of the type of files.

Let’s see how to achieve this.

  • Create a scheduler integration
  • Drop the source FTP adapter and enter the name of the endpoint(ListFiles)
  • Configure properties as below and click on the Next button

In the process & innovation section Jan published a micro process article and the consequences of this new architecture. Large volumes of data are generated during the life of each process instance. This data needs to be archived and purged.

OIC REST API for Lookups by Niall Commiskey

imageAbove, my lookup. Here are the Lookup REST APIs – Retrieve is easy –

Per default, retrieve does not show me the row values e.g. USD, GBP etc.

I just need to add the following query parameter, in order to retrieve the contents – Update – let’s add a couple of new entries. So what does my request look like? Now let’s check the Lookup in OIC -  As you can see, the original entries have been overwritten. In this case, update means essentially replace..

So how can I have a scenario where I just want to augment the lookup list? Simple enough with OIC – I create a REST connection in OIC – Read the complete article here.

Create an XML file in Oracle Integration Cloud by Ankur Jain

Let’s see how to achieve this use case

  • Create a FTP connection: Please go through the article to see how to create FTP connection
  • Create a REST connection. Please go through the article to see how to create REST connection
  • Go the the Integrations and click on the Create button from the upper right coner and select “App Driven Orchestration
  • Enter the Integration name as “WriteXMLFile” and click on the Create button.
  • Select inline drag REST connection on the Integration canvas as a Trigger point
  • Enter below information and click on the Next button
    • Name of the end point: WriteXML
  • Enter below information and click on the Next button
    • What is the endpoint’s relative resource URI: /create
    • What action do you want to perform on the endpoint: POST
    • Select Configure a request payload for this endpoint checkbox- This option allows us to assign payload in the next step. Read the complete article here.
