Clear Day for Cloud Adapters By Antony Reynolds

Yesterday Oracle released their cloud adapter for salesforce.com (SFDC) so I thought I would talk a little about why you might want it. I had previously integrated with SFDC using BPEL and the SFDC web interface, so in this post I will explore why the adapter might be a better approach.

Why?

So if I can interface to SFDC without the adapter why would I spend money on the adapter? There are a number of reasons and in this post I will just explain the following 3 benefits:

  • Auto-Login
  • Non-Ploymorphic Operations
  • Operation Wizards

Lets take each one in turn. Read the complete artcile here.

Fusion Middleware Partner Community Forum – what you missed in Faro!

Thanks Simon for the excellent blog article about the Community Forum. Very nice summery with all the highlights of the Forum. You wrote also blog post? Let us know! Thanks to your wonderful feedback – highly appreciated all the nice e-mails I received!

Thanks again for the wonderful week in Vilamoura last week! I really enjoyed the sessions and networking opportunities. The information from practically every session is most likely to be very valuable for a number of customers and of course, my colleagues. Arnoud Roth –  interaccess

Jurgen – again many thanks for organising the forum – my first. FMW forum appearance. It was an amazing experience to meet both Capgemini colleagues from other territories and other guys from other companies – the community has a very strong bond and I have no doubt I can turn to my new friends/contacts I have made for advice, guidance and coaching. I have already highlighted to my senior management my key “take aways” – to explore ways of how we can integrate FMW into their our client’s landscapes.  Frank Roche – Capgemini

Wickes PotgieterMany thanks once again for a cool Community Forum AND  BPM boot camp. Wonderful location, great organisation and high value knowledge transfer. Tony Albrecht – RPC UK Ltd.

Thank you again for the conference, I really enjoyed it! Learned a lot and met many new people. Can’t wait for the next one! Wickes Potgieter tsi-systems

Let me thanks you for all for what you have done in order to get this Middleware Community Forum organized as such, the best Oracle event from far I attended in Europe for the last years : very good organization, very interesting topics, high quality speaker, accessibility to Oracle experts, hotel, dinner, Beside my loyalty to Oracle for almost 20 years, all these efforts, investments, considerations for partners and all these news solutions give additional  motivations to move forward with Oracle. Thanks a lot again,  David Darte Compass Consulting sa.

SOA Community Newsletter February 2013

Dear SOA partner community member

In this newsletter edition we highlighted many new online demos for SOA, BPM and OEP. Being a partner, you can use the same demo systems that Oracle pre-sales consultants use every day for customers. Out of the box demos including a flow & script have been updated. Demos are key in the sales process! To access the DSS demo systems please visit OPN and feel free to talk to your Partner Expert!

With the rise of big and fast data SOA and pattern matching can play a key role, make sure you attend our webcast and get the latest whitepaper. To design SOA architectures, OASIS published a SOA reference architecture and EAIESB a SOA BPEL 2.0 Poster. If you work on SOA project make sure you follow the C2B2 SOA Tuning webcast series and I recommend you to try the SOA Testing utilities.

In the BPM section we published new papers such as Transforming Customer Experience,Cooking Up Successful BPMand BPM in Utilities. In addition to this the BPM DSS Demos to extend Siebel are available. Mark Nelson published a blog post about Collecting diagnostic information for BPM and Jan van Zoggel about Integration of Oracle BPM and Oracle UCM/WCC. Please read these publications and make yourself updated from these shared knowledge.

I will be looking forward to see you all in Portugal for the Fusion Middleware Partner Community Forum 2013.
