Fast Data Executive Round Table FY14 event kit

We are very interested to run joint marketing events jointly with you as our partners! At our SOA Community Workspace (SOA Community membership required) you can find a new Fast Data Executive Round Table FY14 event kit.

This event is designed at senior IT and executives level for the purposes of education, awareness, and thought leadership around the subject of big data; and a specific flavor of big data – Fast Data – that has begun to spark the imagination of many Oracle customers. Fast Data is not new. It’s a term that was invented initially by Ovum’s Tony Baer as a way to represent the collection of ‘high velocity’ solutions with respect to the big data.

For Oracle, the Fast Data campaign in FY13 began as a way to tie a broader set of solutions together (SOA/Business Process Management, Data Integration and Business Analytics) under a set of use cases focused on real-time, high velocity data. It has helped to give Oracle a leap-frog advantage over many of the niche integration vendors (i.e. Informatica, Pega, Tibco, Software AG, Terracotta) who haven’t been able to address these types of end-to-end use cases which rely on the combination of filtering, in-memory data processing, correlation, real-time data movement and transformation, end-to-end analytics, and business process management. Only Oracle can address all the dimensions of fast data, and only Oracle can provide a set of engineered solutions to address this space.

This event is designed to continue that thought leadership momentum and raise the awareness about what Oracle Fast Data solutions are designed to solve. It’s designed to highlight real customer solutions and articulate the business benefits that fast data can address. This is not an event that gets into the esoteric technical standards of Hadoop, NoSQL, and in-memory data grids. This is an event that instead gets into the heart of business problems that big data has left un-addressed and charts the path for next steps in fast data. At our SOA Community Workspace (SOA Community membership required) you can find a new marketing kit: Integration Success Workshop. This event is designed with an aim at increasing IT/developer confidence in order to increase adoption especially with SOA/BPM products. This event is technical and hands-on and is designed to be to a few types of audience classifications – all who are highly technical and are at the practitioner-level:

  • Existing customers who may be tempted by open source, other competition because they think our products are hard to use, too complex, and don’t meet new use cases.
  • Existing customers who may already have some understanding or familiarity with the SOA/BPM products but want to learn how to build out more modern SOA/BPM deployments via Cloud/Mobile.
  • New customers who are interested to learn firsthand some of the new breakthrough capabilities in Cloud and Mobile.

Themes of this event are centered on Cloud Integration, Mobile Integration, and Continuous Integration. Modules will be delivered on specific themes, and are designed enable a conversation with customers about each theme and how SOA / BPM can solve key challenges within that theme (e.g. Extending Applications to Mobile Devices). ec4u implements Oracle SOA Suite and AIA Foundation Pack at Swiss insurance companySympany, with its head office in Basel, grew out of the ÖKK Basel and other health insurers. In 2012, Sympany earned premiums of CHF 994 million and had a profit of CHF 16.3 million. Sympany’s roughly 550 employees serve over 227,000 private customers, of which about 189,000 have basic insurance policies. Its corporate clientele comprises approximately 12,200 companies.

A great success of the collaboration between Sympany and ec4u expert consulting (schweiz) ag could be documented on 2nd April 2013, the Go Live of the SYBACON program.

Since this Go Live the SOA Suite is the main integration platform, excluding batch processing. ec4u supported Sympany to implement services with Oracle SOA Suite and AIA Foundation Pack. Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM) 11g (11.1.1.7) Starter Kit available & Customizable Demos

OFM PS6 starter kit is now available from Global Sales Engineering (GSE, formerly DSS).  OFM Starter Kit provides a basic foundation to design and develop middleware demos. It is based on plug and play architecture and designed to use optimal hardware resources.  The starter kit is easily extendable to incorporate more Oracle Fusion Middleware components.
