Oracle RightNow Cloud, the eminent component of Oracle Service Cloud, makes it possible for organizations to better understand their customers, and quickly deliver apt answers through preferred service channels and devices. Whether your organization needs to deliver web customer service, enable a cross-channel contact center, or provide faster service in the field – Oracle RightNow Cloud makes it easy for customers to engage with your brands; your employees to serve customers; and your organization to adapt to changing business needs. To fulfill more connections, more channels, and provide even greater flexibility of integration to better serve customers needs, Oracle Cloud Adapter for RightNow has been introduced on the market leading SOA Suite 12c platform.

The Oracle Cloud adapter for RightNow provides intuitive wizard based approach common to all Oracle Cloud Adapters. It eliminates the complexity of cloud integration by encapsulating session management, simplifying security, and pruning many manual steps. The graphical adapter provides highly declarative way to discover the RightNow objects and operations of choice, and build the integration. The RightNow Cloud Adapter lets you connect to other cloud and on-premise applications via Oracle SOA Suite 12c which supports over 200 integration adapters and technologies.

The time to market for service solutions spanning RightNow Cloud and on-premise applications (viz. E-Business Suite, Siebel, SAP), or other cloud applications will be significantly reduced by leveraging the RightNow Cloud Adapter. These solutions also expand the value of the applications to the organization. Some of the examples of complementary business solutions that will benefit from RightNow Cloud Adapter include:

· Agent Dispatch for Field Service:  RightNow Cloud Agent interacts with a customer via phone, chat or email and leverages back office functionality to schedule and dispatch a technician.

· Service interactions for Sales and Marketing: Share customer information with your marketing and sales automation applications, as well as enable your sales account management teams to view service incidents with products.

· Agreement Renewals: Enable RightNow Cloud customers to renew agreements/contracts residing in a different application.

Simplify SaaS and On-Premises Integration by Using Oracle Fusion Middleware by Srikant Subramaniam

clip_image002With the increasing popularity of software as a service (SaaS), there is a key imperative to quickly, efficiently, and easily integrate the newer SaaS applications with their existing on-premise counterparts. This has proven to be especially challenging as each SaaS vendor enforces its own mechanisms for security, message delivery, and other integration aspects. As a result, it is not entirely surprising that 1 in 2 companies has abandoned the use of a cloud app in the last 3 years due to integration problems.
As a result, the context for this session was: given these challenges and the sobering statistics, how can customers be better equipped to avoid the pitfalls and endemic problems associated with this integration scenario.
We described how Oracle Fusion Middleware provides a single set of tools to handle all of these integration challenges. With the release of SOA Suite 12c, it is now possible to unify the disparate requirements challenges of mobile, cloud, and IoT into a single integration platform.  Also, the new Cloud Adapters in SOA Suite 12c simplify the task of developing and securing connectivity and enable users to focus on building the business logic for the integration processes.
A successful integration strategy involves much more than simple connectivity. Once the backend applications have been connected, the next step is to implement an access management solution that will allow users to access these applications in a secure manner. Oracle Identity and Access Management provides a single, secure point of entry where the user’s identity can be verified and access to enterprise resources can be managed to provide consistent role management, SSO and governance to cross- application processes and transactions. Getting to Know the Oracle Developer Cloud Service by W Brian Leonard

clip_image002Oracle Developer Cloud Service is included as a free entitlement with Oracle Java Cloud Service and Oracle Messaging Cloud Service. The Developer Cloud Service includes all the tools you need to support the team development lifecycle. There are popular open source tools such as Git, Maven and Hudson. There’s also task management, code reviews and a wiki.

The easiest way to experience the Oracle Developer Cloud Service is through a trial of the Oracle Java Cloud Service – SaaS Extension (click the "Try It" button).

In this article I will introduce the Developer Cloud Service by using Maven to create a new web application, Git to manage the application source and Hudson to build and deploy my application to the Java Cloud Service.

Prerequisites

If you plan to follow along, this tutorial also assumes you already have Maven and Git installed. I will be using the Git Console from my desktop to interface with the Developer Cloud Service. The tutorial also assumes, of course, that you have access to the Developer Cloud Service!

Create a New Project

As a first step, log into the Developer Cloud Service and create a new project. Read the complete article here. & Watch the online training Developer Cloud Service: Git Integration with Oracle JDeveloper

Tame the Cloud Integration Beast

clip_image002

View the eBook: Integrate the Cloud.
Software as a service is widely known for its ease of deployment. Less understood is the integration rat’s nest that can result when many SaaS applications are introduced within a company without a cohesive strategy.

Dain Hansen, director of integration product marketing for Oracle, says problems result when organizations bring in various cloud apps without a well-planned strategy that also takes into account on-premise software and systems.

"It’s just so hard to get things to talk together," says Hansen.

SaaS offerings have become very popular because they can be implemented quickly and easily by business units and individual users. Yet, because some of that implementation is outside the purview of IT organizations and others are simply stand-alone, it has led to a proliferation of online technology assets that are isolated from on-premise systems, unable to tap into valuable data stores or other sources of business expertise.
