SOA Suite 12c launch – first partner feedback

September 8, 2014 Leave a comment

THANKS to all SOA Community Partners for the excellent SOA Suite 12c launch. It was an amazing 50 hours of an almost around the clock twitter storm! It was worth waiting a long time for the SOA Suite 12c release the first feedback is superb! Special thanks to the Amis team who publish a whole series – or a book of blog post about SOA Suite 12c!

We now have the opportunity to convert this SOA Suite 12c storm in joint business! Make use of our SOA Suite 12c launch event marketing campaign and run local launch events for your customers. Most of our customers use many different products from different vendors for integration. Different vendors for ESB, BPEL, governance, b2b, OEP, cloud integration, mobile integration….. You have the opportunity to consolidate them and make SOA Suite as their one and company wide solution. Make sure you get trained and let us know when your first customers go in production on SOA Suite 12c!

Here are some of the best quotes & tweets about SOA Suite 12c – THANKS to all partners & ACEs & product management! Jürgen

Implementing Human Tasks with any Java EE framework by Sysco team

September 7, 2014 Leave a comment

Oracle SOA Suite includes a component to handle user interactions into a SCA application:
When you have completed Human Task definition, JDeveloper gives you the option to implement this tasks using Oracle ADF. This could be the easiest way if you have developers trained to use this framework. In this case you can go ahead and start implementing your task flows and pages. As this option is shown by default, you may think this is the only option to implement a Human Task.

As Mark Nelson published a couple of years ago, you can implement these Human Tasks with .Net and any other technology capable to consume SOAP web services.
In this post, I will explain how to implement Human Tasks with any Java EE framework (including ADF).
This post will include two steps:

  1. How to call your application from Oracle Business Process Workspace
  2. How to integrate your application with Human Task services

Let’s started with one simple business process: https://github.com/jeqo/htjavaee/tree/base_bpm_project
This project includes: Read the complete article here.

AppAdvantage FY15 kit

September 3, 2014 Leave a comment

The pace of change, and the need to modernize IT and simultaneously deliver business innovations such as Social, Mobile and Cloud is stressing enterprise operating models as never before. To be sure, success in both is an imperative in today’s dynamic business environment. However, traditional packaged enterprise applications such as ERP can no longer deliver upon the wide range of opportunities and challenges facing IT Leaders. But for most enterprises, outright replacement is impossible. A new approach to enterprise systems is needed, one that leverages existing investments, while layering new capabilities around them within an open, flexible and secure architecture.
