SOA Suite 12c launch – first partner feedback

THANKS to all SOA Community Partners for the excellent SOA Suite 12c launch. It was an amazing 50 hours of an almost around the clock twitter storm! It was worth waiting a long time for the SOA Suite 12c release the first feedback is superb! Special thanks to the Amis team who publish a whole series – or a book of blog post about SOA Suite 12c!

We now have the opportunity to convert this SOA Suite 12c storm in joint business! Make use of our SOA Suite 12c launch event marketing campaign and run local launch events for your customers. Most of our customers use many different products from different vendors for integration. Different vendors for ESB, BPEL, governance, b2b, OEP, cloud integration, mobile integration….. You have the opportunity to consolidate them and make SOA Suite as their one and company wide solution. Implementing Human Tasks with any Java EE framework by Sysco team

Oracle SOA Suite includes a component to handle user interactions into a SCA application:
When you have completed Human Task definition, JDeveloper gives you the option to implement this tasks using Oracle ADF. This could be the easiest way if you have developers trained to use this framework. In this case you can go ahead and start implementing your task flows and pages. As this option is shown by default, you may think this is the only option to implement a Human Task.

As Mark Nelson published a couple of years ago, you can implement these Human Tasks with .Net and any other technology capable to consume SOAP web services.
In this post, I will explain how to implement Human Tasks with any Java EE framework (including ADF).
This post will include two steps:

  1. How to call your application from Oracle Business Process Workspace
  2. How to integrate your application with Human Task services

Customer Experience & SOA Integration Demo

Each viewlet can be shown individually or in conjunction with any others and can show either technical feature or business centric demo’s.  There is a matrix of options for using the demos, to help you select relevant materials  there is a ScenarioMatrix.xls spreadsheet, you can filter on any of the columns to reduce to the viewlets that interest you.
In this release feature enhancements have been made to:

  • RightNow – New business scenario’s.
  • RTD – Integrated into several front-ends, Composite Pagelet for RightNow, plus back-end viewlets.
  • WC-Sites – updated with latest MyBank demo with SCV MyProfile.
  • SCVLite VirtualBox VM (due to be uploaded to retriever mid-may).
  • Retail Banking Client-OnBoarding viewlets.
  • Documentation on Design Pattern and SCV Service.
  • New MDM / EDQ scenario viewlet.
  • Improvements to ATG, eBS.
